A boy and girl are supposed to consummate their marriage for the first time as the sex strike begins. Much of the film revolves around the men of the town trying to find ways to have sex with their wives or other women, but the content is mostly non-explicit.
There is a scene where a girl who is supposed to be 14 (though the actress was 22) climbs onto her roof at night and takes off her dress to cool off. Full frontal nudity is shown. A boy of the same age who was spying on her steals her dress.
